Motortober 2007- MINI Went a-Kartin'

The MINI is like a go-kart right? We took some time to put this theory to the test. Dreyer & Reinbold invited MINICCI Members to test out the R56 at the New Castle Motorsports Park. In the words of James Whitcomb Riley- we had "the mostest fun!" Pictures have been posted on the gallery and we are still trying to wipe the goofy grins off our faces. Driving the R56, going for laps with Rob or Mike (real e-ticket rides), or just trying our own MINI out on the track, it proved once again that our "cute little car" is a lot more than cute. I personally think every MINI owner should try this at least once- kind of like an initiation without all the silly hazing.

Thanks to D&R and NCMP for the fantastic day! the only question that keeps being repeated is "When can we go back?"

Fallingwater Run- Roadtrip to Pennsylvania and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob.

Fallingwater Day 2 Update: So far this has been a fantastic trip and we are having a wonderful time. A little rain today hasn't stopped us from having a great time seeing two of Frank Lloyd Wright's homes. What wonderful designs, and great roads! After a great Italian dinner (thanks for the find Larry) Tomorrow, it's off to some more great roads, and exploring the sites (and shops) of the area.

Fallingwater Day 3 Update: We had a grand adventure taking in the sites and foliage of western Pennsylvania. Some wonderful roads, great wineries and a little history lesson madeit a great day. Topped off with magnificient views and a wonderful dinner we all ask- do we have to go home? Pictures added to the gallery, but there will be more.

"Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright." November will bring about a wonderful Saturday drive to Wolf Park near Lafayette. Check the forum for all the details it is shaping up to be a howling good time. Remember: "Stay off of the moors, beware of the Moon."

Membership Update:

We are in the midst of making some changes for 2008 (Cool new shirt design, new SWAG for returning members, etc.) Remember if you pay your dues now your membership will be good until December 2008. Lots in store for '08, join now so you don't miss out.
